The baby has been fed, chicken is marinating, and I have a chance to put my feet up.
I thought it would be a good idea to share this marinade. If your like me, your always looking for different ways to flavor your protein for dinner.
I first used this on a flank steak. We cooked it in a skillet, searing it to medium. Tonight I decided to try it on chicken breast which we will grill on indirect heat.
– 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
– 1 teaspoon finely grated ginger
– 1/4 cup sugar
– 1/2 cup soy sauce
– 1/3 cup sesame oil
– 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
– 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
– Large ziplock bag for marinating
-choice or protein ( I used chicken breast)
Place all ingredients in bag and mix well. Add protein in bag and let sit for 10 minutes.
optional:You can also place the remaining marinade in a small saucepan and bring to a full boil. Reduce to medium-low heat and simmer until sauce begins to thicken. This makes a great glaze once protein is done cooking.
