It’s been a long time since posting new recipes I have made. It’s definitely time
I shared one.
This recipe I found on… wait for it …wait for it … PINTEREST. It was super easy to make and perfect for a light appetizer that hit your taste buds all around (sweet, salty, and savory). The ingredients were easy to put together!
Recipe and photo cred found here.
-3 fresh Asian pears ( I used what the grocery store had)
-Juice of 1 lemon
-6 tablespoons light brown sugar
-Freshly ground black pepper
-12 slices of prosciutto or Parma ham
-¾ cup cranberry sauce (found on the juice aisle)
-Crumbled goat cheese ( I used Gorgonzola)
–Slice pears to make coin rounds from each pear. Remove the core.
— Make a lemon water bath (1:10 with water). Dip each round into bath to keep them from browning. Pat dry, place each round on a platter.
–Sprinkle ½ tablespoon of light brown sugar on top of each round. Using a culinary torch, brulée (brown) the sugar. I used a lighter, LOL.
–Sprinkle a dash of pepper and top with a slice of prosciutto.
–Spoon 1 tablespoon of the cranberry sauce on top of each.
–Sprinkle a little Gorgonzola cheese on each piece.
–Serve immediately and enjoy!
Hope you make this and enjoy as much as we did!
